Venda-ECMOD Awards Night

Thursday 18th April saw some of the biggest retailers in the industry don their black-tie best and gather together at the Chelsea Football Club, Stamford Bridge, to celebrate the Venda-ECMOD Awards! With a night full of delicious food, good music and entertaining speeches, there was certainly a wonderful atmosphere throughout the evening.

The awards presentation was delivered by Sky News anchor Dermot Murnaghan, with each award presented to the deserving winners by the individual sponsors of each award, including many faces from the Venda team!
 photo 935745_10151628884358980_1469651595_n_zps9be25791.jpgAfter a wonderfully entertaining speech from Nick Wheeler of Charles Tyrwhitt and Chrissie Rucker of The White Company, winners of the The Lifetime Achievement Award, guests were free to enjoy the music from a live band, whilst no doubt spending their drinks vouchers at the bar in celebration!                                                                                                        Other winners from the evening include Bureau Direct for Outstanding Customer Service, Direct Golf for Best Website and Littlewoods for Best Use of Social Media. We’ve been nominating for the Internet Retailing Awards!

The Venda UK office was infused with the sound of laughter this Monday afternoon, as we took on the task of making our nominations for the Internet Retailing Awards!

For those of you not yet familiar with this years nomination process, everyone who is not a retailer can only nominate by filming a VERY short (6 seconds in fact!) video using the Vine app, which must then be Tweeted at Internet Retailing; Yes, meaning you must not only be filmed, but also put onto the Internet for the whole world to see! As daunting as that can be, it’s actually an awful lot of fun and we urge you to join in and make your own nomination videos!

Below are our first 7 nominations for our wonderful clients; Wilko, Urban Outfitters, Royal Mail, Heal’s, British Museum, TK Maxx and Arsenal. Now that we are Vine pros (well, almost…), our second film shoot is locked in for the coming days, so keep your eyes peeled for even more Vine videos from the Venda team! Safe to say, we’re not all as shy as we might make out ;)
